Board: ESG and Sustainable Finance

Sustainability and nature-related financial risk are increasingly high on FINMA’s supervisory agenda, as they affect risk management, investor protection, and the reputation of the Swiss financial centre. This course is designed specifically for members of the Board of Directors. It does not aim to replicate operational ESG or sustainability-compliance training. Instead, it focuses on the governance role of the Board, clarifying:

• the regulatory expectations applicable at Board level,
• the non-delegable duties of oversight and challenge,
• and the elements that FINMA and external auditors expect to see documented and evidenced.
